The biggest news going on in the studio right now is the re-brand. Kept the Rockin’ Chalk name but the logo is simplified and the overall look is lighter and brighter. How much does my business really use chalk? Well… not a whole lot. But even in the earlier years, it was never a lot of chalk. I used white charcoal or white pencils in my artwork and then cleaned up and colorized the art digitally, using Photoshop. (That’s where I “rocked” it). And, of course… I am a huge fan of classic rock and that’s pretty much what you’ll always hear in my studio, so.. I’m attached to the name and the tag line too… NOW it’s a party. I’ve been using that tag since the beginning, swapping it out at times with “Modern Merch. Vintage Vibe.” For now, I’m not using the merch one, and it’s all about the PARTY. After a hiatus from doing any real updates to my Etsy shop over the past couple of years, I’ve rolled up my sleeves with a new sense of inspiration and energy to put into party-centric products for event planners or any person who’s planning a party. In the past, this was fairly limited to food and beverage signs. I’ll still be offering those while developing coordinated collections. Examples of what I’m building:
Editable Digital Invitations (for print and for mobile delivery)
Small Signage to use at different stations and areas of a party
Table Numbers
Favor tags or packaging
Party game sheets or signs
Tableware (paper plates & cups)
Large signs for easels
Bar signs
Menus
Order of Events signs or fliers
Some of this will be instant downloads and editable products that customers use and print themselves, while others are offered with full-service design and printing – the VIP treatment! It feels good to re-focus on this again. Looking forward to what the year ahead will bring.
